• to deliver your project: design, revisions, final files;
• to send order confirmations, brief links and project updates;
• to answer your questions and provide support;
• to prevent fraud and keep our website secure;
• to understand which pages and campaigns work, in aggregate;
• to keep the records we must keep for tax and accounting.

We will only send marketing emails if you have opted in, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

We process your data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you (your order), because we have a legitimate interest in running and securing our business, to meet legal obligations such as tax records, or with your consent (for example marketing emails), which you can withdraw at any time.

We use only essential cookies and local storage needed for the site to work (checkout progress and admin sign-in). If we add analytics, we will use privacy-friendly, cookieless tools where possible and update this policy. You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run Grey Signature, and only as far as they need it:

• Payment providers: PayPal, Wise and, where offered, Stripe, to process payments.
• Hosting and storage: Cloudflare (website hosting, security and file storage) and Neon (database).
• Email delivery: our email provider, to send order and project emails.
• Our designers: the people working on your project see your brief and files.
• Authorities: where the law requires it, or to protect our rights in a dispute.

Some of these providers are located outside India, including in the United States and the EU. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on the providers' standard contractual safeguards.

We keep order and invoice records for as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally eight years in India). Briefs, files and project communication are kept while your project is active and for up to three years afterwards, so we can support you with follow-up work; you can ask us to delete them sooner. Unfinished checkouts are deleted after 12 months.

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• give you a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information, unless we must keep it by law;
• stop or restrict certain processing, or object to it;
• send your information to you or another provider in a portable format.

Email studio@greysignature.com from the address you used with us. We reply within 30 days. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Our website runs over HTTPS. Access to customer data is limited to staff who need it and protected by authentication. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information and will notify you if a breach affects you.

Our services are for businesses and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we change this policy we will update the "last updated" date above, and for significant changes we will let customers with active projects know by email.
